Grower: This particular lot is grown and harvested by Simeon Vasquez, Antonia Sanchez, Pilar Gonzalez, Juan de la Cruz, Francisca Vasquez, and Fausto Vasquez.
Region: Santa Elena, La Paz is located in southwestern Honduras in the micro-region of the Comayagua River Valley.
Lot: This lot is grown by multiple members of The Catracha project. This project was created by marketing director Mayra Orellana-Powell from our importer Royal Coffee. This program improves socioeconomic outcomes for families producing coffee in Santa Elena through direct access to the global specialty network. Access to training, social engagement, and profit sharing are just some of the ways that the Catracha project aims to increase smallholder productivity.
Varietal: Bourbon and Catuaí. Bourbon is an heirloom varietal from the French colony of Reunion. This varietal is prized for its citric acidity. Catuaí is a dwarf varietal that is known for its high yielding, disease, and weather resistant trees. This varietal originated from a hybridization of Caturra and Mundo Novo which occurred in Brazil.

Process: Fully washed after depulping and fermenting, then dried on raised beds under cover of a solar dryer
