Grower: Pablo and Jaime Ponce inherited their farm from Ormedo Romois, Pablo Ponce's brother in law. Pablo and Jaime Ponce won third place at Taza Dorada, a seasonal competition where coffee is submitted and sold individually by each producer.
Region: La Perla, Ecuador located in the Andes Mountain Range. This unique micro climate and ideal elevation makes for a lighter, cleaner tasting coffee with unique acidity and occasional fruity and floral fragrance.
Varietal/Cultivar: Typica, a cultivar whose genetic base is from Ethiopia, but was first identified in Yemen, and was brought to Ecuador in the 19th century.
